What: Youth
service group that allows students to receive 1/4 of a high school
credit upon completion of requirement at the end of the academic year.
Who: The program
is headed by Gretchen Vandeputte. She provides service ideas and
opportunities for students and sets the requirements.
When: Students
sign up to participate at the beginning of the school year, meet once
per month and are responsible for scheduling their own service
commitments.
Where: Students meet monthly during Flex in the cafeteria at the Orono High School, but can do service projects anywhere.
What: Once
per month, a youth night is held at the Orono Discovery Center. Games,
DJ, dancing, Wii and concession stand makes for a great Friday night
out!
Who: Robin Rhodes and other adult support come together to supervise this even each month.
When: Held once per month on Friday nights.
Where: The FiftyFifty Youth Center at the Orono Discovery Center in Maple Plain.
